Our Advisory Board

The WTM Latin America Advisory Board plays an important part in the success of WTM Latin America. The Advisory Board helps to anticipate industry developments and trends to ensure these are reflected in WTM Latin America’s strategic development. Consisting of industry leaders from across Latin America, the Advisory Board reflects regional interests of visitors, exhibitors, buyers and trade associations.

Adriana Cavalcanti

President of the Advisory Board

Adriana Cavalcanti - has a degree in Foreign Trade with specialization courses in Disruptive Strategy, Risk Management & Crisis and Corporate Governance. She has almost 30 years' experience in commercial aviation and is currently a member of the boards of directors of companies in the tourism & mobility industry and social impact startups.

Ana Maria Berto

General Director, Orinter Tour & Travel

A market professional who has more than 40 years experience including stints at operators such as Dimensão Turismo and MMTGapnet. She is currently managing partner at Orinter Tour & Travel, which is an operator focused on Domestic and International B2B operating in Brazilian Territory with 8 bases and a total of more than 100 employees.

Cássio M. Salles Oliveira

Vice President, Ancoradouro Group

A professional specialized in tourism, he began his career at Varig, where he worked for many years in the Reservations and Distributions areas and then later on in the Commercial area. He was commercial director and Commercial Vice President of REXTUR and REXTURADVANCE, after the merger of these companies, where he stayed for more than 23 years until the sale of the company to CVC CORP.

He was the executive responsible for founding AIRTKT, Association of Consolidators and is currently Vice President of Ancoradouro Group, which is one of the largest tourism services consolidators in the Brazilian market. He plays an active role in the client boards of a number of domestic and international airlines and is a member of WTM-LA'S Advisory Board. A professional who is active, well-known and recognized in the tourism industry in which he has worked for more than 40 years.

Danielle Roman

President and CEO, Interamerican Network

With a degree in Public Relations, Danielle Roman has more than 20 years' experience in connecting people and places. She heads up a team that is strategically spread across Latin America and helps them turn Interamerican's customers into successful brands.

As a specialist in destination marketing, Danielle offers integrated Digital, Marketing and Public Relations solutions to inspire people in Latin America to travel around the world and have the best experience of their lives.

At Interamerican Network, Danielle serves and served a number of DMOs, airlines, hotels and resorts, as well as theme parks, airports, shopping centers and various tourist products such as Tourism Australia, Dubai Tourism, Visit Flanders, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Merlin Group , Legoland Park & ​​Resort, NYC & Company, St. Maarten Tourism Board, Anguilla Tourism Office, Alaska Airlines, Emirates Airline, Atlantis Paradise Island, Loews Hotels and Resorts, DFW International Airport, Simon Shopping Destinations, Small Luxury Hotels, Finnair, Hong Kong Air, Botswana Tourism Office, Vail Resorts, IPW/US Travel, Ecuador's Ministry of Tourism, PromPeru, Jordan's Tourism Council, Destination The Palm Beaches, Puerto Rico, Delta Air Lines and many others.

She is a member of Travel Consul's  Board and of WTM Latin America's Advisory Board.

Diana Pomar

CEO, DGX international Travel Brazil / México

Currently acting as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of DGX International Travel Brazil & México, a company specialized in Tourism Destination Marketing and the representation of tourism companies with a presence in Mexico and Brazil. She graduated in Planning and Development in the Tourism Sector and has an Instituto Politécnico Nacional MBA. 

 

For 8 years she was the head of the Mexico Tourism Board office in Brazil, creating important strategic alliances with the objective of increasing the number of Brazilian visitors to Mexico. She has seventeen years of experience in the private sector, where she used to work at Best Western Hotels, taking care of the hotels based in Mexico, Central America, and Ecuador. She started as a reservation assistant and worked her way up to the Head Commercial Area.

Eduardo Murad

Executive Director, ALAGEV

He has a degree in Tourism from Universidade Anhembi-Morumbi and an MBA in Tourism, Hospitality and Entertainment from FGV with an international extension course at Ohio University College of Business along with more than 20 years' experience in Procurement, Business Process Outsourcing, Travel Management and Corporate Events and sales, which was acquired by working at multinational companies such as Siemens, IBM, Carlson Wagonlit, HRG and HRS. 

 

He was elected president of ALAGEV (Latin American Association of Travel and Corporate Events Managers) from 2014 to 2016, and currently holds the position of the Association's Executive Director. The co-author of three books, and a Brazilian and international speaker for the travel and event industry's most important and significant events.

Elizabeth Wada

Coordinator of the Master’s Degree Programme, Universidade Anhembi Morumbi

Elizabeth Kyoko Wada is a research fellow at the CNPQ (Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development) with Corporate Mobility research in Latin America, completed her post-doctoral research at UFPR - PGP (Post Graduate Program) in Tourism; and has a Master's degree and a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of São Paulo; Specialist in Marketing Administration from EAESP/FGV; and has degrees in Tourism from the Centro Universitário Ibero Americano Unibero and in Social Communication - Public Relations from the University of São Paulo.

She is the Coordinator of the Post Graduate Program in Hospitality and the PMP (Professional Master's Degree Program) in Food and Beverage Management at Anhembi Morumbi University (Laureate International Universities). Teaching since 1981, she worked in operators and hotels for 30 years. Administrative-financial director of ANPTUR (National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Tourism) and Vice President of Finance for MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Brazil Chapter. Member of the Board of Directors of Bourbon Hotéis & Resorts

Jean-Philippe Pérol

Administrator, CAP AMAZON

French, with 25 years experience in the Brazilian travel industry in Rio de Janeiro, Manaus and São Paulo during which he has developed a great networking with Tos, TAs and tourism journalists and influencers. Bachelor degree from Sciences Po Paris, Sorbonne II and PHD in Business Administrator.

Successful career in Air France Latin America, Wagons Lits Brazil and the France tourism brands. In Maison de la France and Atout France, he occupied high functions from Marketing Director to Worldwide Managing Director, in Paris,  São Paulo, Frankfurt, and New York. Since 2017, owner of Cap Amazon, including Invino Wine Summit and Amazon Rio Negro cruise company, Former European Travel Commission Vice President and member of the board, he was also President Latin America and President US.

Mariana Aldrigui

Researcher, Universidade de São Paulo

She has been a professor in the field of Tourism at the University of São Paulo since 2006, with a doctorate in Human Geography. Her research is focused on understanding the role of tourism in Brazil, combining political, economic and social aspects. 

Ney Neto

Innovation Director, MCI Group

One of the first professionals to be part of the MCI Group's operation in Brazil, he was president of the Brazilian chapter of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and the Campus Party's Director of Innovations.

Expert in technologies for Marketing and Events, he is in charge of MCI Brasil's innovation and relationship program with startups. A musician and festival producer, he combines an active artistic career, with shows, classes and lectures throughout Brazil and abroad.

Orlando de Souza

Executive President, FOHB-Fórum de Operadores Hoteleiros do Brasil

He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo and Esan and did an extension course in hotel management from the Estoril School of Hotel Management, in Portugal. Orlando was Accorhotels' director of operations for 20 years, both in Brazil and in Portugal. 

He served two terms as Chairman of the executive board of the São Paulo Convention & Visitiors Bureau and is currently Chairman of the entity's Board of Trustees. He was Marketing Director of CPETUR (Companhia Paulista de Turismo e Eventos) and in recent years he has been a member of Secovi-SP's vice presidency of touri+D11sm and real estate matters. He is currently the Executive President of the FOHB (Forum of Brazil's Hotel Operators), where he is responsible for representing the associated hotel chains at the institutional level.

Ricardo Ferreira

Director, AGURI Business

He has a degree and a Master's Degree (CMA) in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV, and in Advertising from ESPM, with extension courses at Wharton - Pennsylvania.

He spent a substantial amount of time working for Sheraton Hotels, American Express Travel Related Services, Abril Group, Talent and was a partner at ALATUR JTB (2004-2018)

He is currently a Business Activation Consultant at AGURI Business 

Toni Sando

Executive Chairman, São Paulo Convention & Visitors Bureau

Toni Sando is a business administrator with an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He worked in the financial market in operations, in product marketing, the hospitality market and at the Accor Group, as General Marketing Manager for South America. He is currently the Executive President of the Fundação 25 de Janeiro – VISITE SÃO PAULO and President of UNEDESTINOS - National of Convention Visitors Bureaus and Destination Entities.

He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Events and Tourism, of Sao Paulo's Municipal and State Tourism Boards and the 1st Vice President of Latinoamérica y El Caribe Convention & Visitors Bureau.
