Crucemundo unveils 2027 European river cruise programme at World Travel Market
Crucemundo has announced its European river cruise programme for 2027, introducing over 115 scheduled departures for FIT and group bookings alongside a fleet expansion to serve its growing international charter market. Unveiled for trade partners and media at World Travel Market, the upcoming season brings a clear focus on solid fleet deployment, strategic homeport additions, and streamlined, all-inclusive pricing.
For individual travelers and standard group bookings, Crucemundo’s core 2027 schedule will run across four primary vessels operating on the Rhine, Main, Moselle, Dutch Waterways, Danube, and Douro rivers. The 115-departure programme features the newly introduced MS CruceNova and the MS Fidelio on the Danube, the MS CruceRio serving the Rhine basin, and the MS Douro Cruiser in Portugal. Building on its four core vessels, Crucemundo International is expanding its charter fleet to seven ships across Europe to meet rising global demand for full-ship charters and dedicated group series.
A major fleet highlight for the 2027 season is the debut of the MS CruceNova on the Danube. Built with an innovative Twin Cruiser design that physically separates the engine unit from the main guest vessel, the ship significantly cuts down onboard noise and vibration, providing a noticeably smoother and quieter journey along the river. The vessel will kick off its season with two special one-off itineraries - a 15-day grand voyage from Amsterdam to Belgrade followed by a return leg from Belgrade to Vienna - before settling into its primary 2027 schedule, running regular 24 departures of 8-day roundtrip Danube cruises out of Vienna every Saturday from May through October.
To streamline sales operations for travel partners and provide clear pricing for guests, Crucemundo is standardizing its fare structure for 2027. Core departures feature full-board regional dining, an all-inclusive daily beverage package running from morning until late evening, and guided shore excursions in English, Spanish and Italian.
The 2027 schedule also sees Rhine and Moselle operations relocate to a new homeport in Düsseldorf, giving international guests faster, direct transit from one of Germany’s best-connected airports. Operated by the MS CruceRio, this programme features 19 departures across three distinct 8-day itineraries exploring the scenic highlights of the Rhine, Moselle, and Dutch Waterways.
“Our 2027 programme gives our agency, group, and charter partners a dependable, well-structured product they can confidently build their sales around,” said Alexei Prokhorov, CEO of Crucemundo. “By operating four core ships for our main 115-departure FIT and group programme, while scaling up to seven vessels for international charters, we are building the capacity our partners need. Bundling guided tours and daily drinks into our standard fares allows us to offer honest, practical value without hidden surprises.”
Expanding its calendar beyond the traditional season, Crucemundo is introducing winter departures on Portugal's Douro River for the first time, joining established winter markets, Christmas, and New Year holiday sailings across the Rhine and Danube. Guests travelling during the atmospheric winter months will experience festive markets, seasonal regional cuisine, and holiday celebrations across Europe's most enchanting waterways.
"The Douro has quickly become one of our most sought-after destinations, and we have seen growing demand from both trade partners and guests for sailings outside the traditional spring and summer season," said Kristina Plaza, Sales Director of Crucemundo. "Launching winter departures on the Douro is a natural next step and an important milestone in our long-term strategy. As we continue expanding our winter programme across Europe, our ambition is to establish Crucemundo as a truly year-round river cruise operator, offering guests exceptional value and distinctive seasonal experiences throughout all twelve months of the year."
