Grupo Xcaret Marks 35 Years of Mexican Hospitality and Tourism Innovation at WTM London 2026

Meet Grupo Xcaret at World Travel Market London, taking place from 3–5 November 2026 at ExCeL London.

Celebrating 35 years since the opening of its first park, Grupo Xcaret returns to WTM London 2026 to showcase the evolution of its tourism offering. Today, the group brings together internationally recognised hotels celebrated for their hospitality, design and eco-integrated architecture, alongside some of the Riviera Maya's most iconic nature and adventure parks and an exceptional culinary offering.

With three hotels, six parks, tours and a wide range of cultural and nature-based experiences, Xcaret has become a gateway to Mexico for international travellers, inviting visitors from the United Kingdom to discover the country's natural beauty, cultural heritage and culinary traditions from the heart of the Mexican Caribbean.

35 Years of Evolution: A Tourism Offering That Continues to Grow

Since Parque Xcaret first opened in December 1990, Grupo Xcaret has expanded its portfolio to include three distinctive hotel experiences, each with its own identity while sharing a commitment to Mexican hospitality, eco-integrated architecture and a strong connection to the country's natural and cultural heritage.

Hotel Xcaret México, designed for travellers of all ages, doubled its capacity in 2025, reaching 1,800 rooms across 10 Casas. The expansion introduced more than 20 new experiences, including Lunateca, an immersive space for children; Paxanguería, created for teenagers; Xinema, a 24-hour cinema-inspired dining venue; and Xupes, an exclusive adults-only space.

The portfolio also includes Hotel Xcaret Arte, a 900-room adults-only property celebrating Mexican creativity through artistic workshops, exhibitions and gastronomy. Meanwhile, La Casa de la Playa offers an ultra-luxury experience with just 63 suites overlooking the Caribbean Sea, personalised service and bespoke experiences.

All-Fun Inclusive: A Different Way to Discover the Riviera Maya

Grupo Xcaret pioneered the All-Fun Inclusive concept, bringing together accommodation, dining, access to parks and tours, and transportation within a single holiday experience. The model allows guests to explore different sides of the Riviera Maya throughout their stay.

Experiences include Parque Xcaret, known for its underground rivers and cultural performances; Xel-Há, celebrated for its natural inlet and water-based activities; Xplor and Xplor Fuego, offering adventures through the jungle and underground caverns; Xenses, where visitors can challenge their senses; and Xoxi, which brings Mexican music and traditions to life aboard colourful trajineras. The offering also extends to excursions such as Xenotes and Xichén.

For UK tour operators and travel agents, the concept provides a compelling alternative to traditional beach holidays in the Riviera Maya, combining accommodation, gastronomy, adventure, nature and authentic Mexican cultural experiences in one comprehensive holiday offering.

Gastronomy: A Cornerstone of the Xcaret Experience

Gastronomy has become a defining pillar of Xcaret's identity, driven by its Colectivo Gastronómico Xcaret Apapaxoa, which brings together acclaimed Mexican and international chefs to celebrate the country's rich culinary heritage.

In 2026, the group further strengthened its culinary offering with the arrival of Karime López, the first Mexican female chef to earn a Michelin star, who now leads Xaak at Hotel Xcaret Arte. Internationally acclaimed pastry chef Antonio Bachour has also joined the group to oversee the pastry offering across its three hotels.

Another major addition is Le Chique, the Michelin-starred restaurant led by chef Jonatán Gómez Luna, which has found a new home at Hotel Xcaret Arte.

These names join an outstanding culinary line-up that includes Andoni Luis Aduriz, Martha Ortiz, Paco Méndez and Carlos Gaytán, further strengthening Xcaret's position as one of the Mexican Caribbean's leading gastronomic destinations.

Celebrating Mexican Culture Through Every Experience

Preserving and sharing Mexico's cultural heritage is central to Xcaret's identity, reflected throughout its hotels, parks and annual cultural celebrations.

Ahead of WTM London, from 30 October to 2 November, the group will host the 20th edition of its Festival de Vida y Muerte (Festival of Life and Death), one of its most significant cultural events. The festival celebrates Mexico's Day of the Dead traditions through music, dance, theatre, gastronomy and artistic performances.

In September, the third edition of the Feria Xcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano (Xcaret Mexican Folk Art Fair) brought together more than 150 master artisans from across Mexico, showcasing their work through exhibitions, live demonstrations and cultural activities.

This commitment to culture is also reflected in Xcaret México Espectacular, Parque Xcaret's signature show, which brings together more than 300 performers every day to take audiences on a journey through Mexican history and traditions through music and dance. To date, the production has been enjoyed by more than 23 million spectators.

Tourism with Purpose

Grupo Xcaret's Xostenibilidad philosophy places respect for nature, the preservation of cultural heritage and community wellbeing at the heart of its tourism development model.

Through a range of environmental, cultural and social initiatives, the group works to support the conservation of regional ecosystems, promote Mexican traditions and create opportunities for the communities with which it maintains close ties.

This approach is reflected across its tourism experiences, the eco-integrated design of its properties and programmes dedicated to protecting the natural environment and celebrating Mexico's cultural heritage.

"We are very much looking forward to meeting with tourism industry representatives and members of the UK media at WTM London. It will be a valuable opportunity to explore new partnerships, introduce our latest experiences and, above all, share our love for Mexico," said Akis Neocleous, Executive Director of Hoteles Xcaret.
