Boutique Hotels & Luxury Resorts
LAIVA San José (opened December 2025)
Located in the heart of San José del Cabo’s Historic Art District, LAIVA is a new boutique hotel bringing a fresh, design-led stay to one of Los Cabos’ most characterful neighbourhoods. The brand’s flagship hotel blends contemporary, brutalist-inspired architecture with lush greenery, intimate courtyards, warm terracotta and mineral tones, and a lively rooftop space. LAIVA is conceived as a cultural hub, with curated programming and experiences, offering an intimate way to connect with the art, history and creative energy of downtown San José del Cabo.
Amanvari (opened August 2026)
Amanvari, the boutique resort by the acclaimed Aman brand, opened its doors in August 2026. Situated within the Costa Palmas community on the East Cape, Amanvari features just 18 freestanding casitas along with private residences, a signature Aman Spa, and refined dining concepts that combine Italian, Japanese and regional cuisine. This intimate, ultra-luxury hideaway underscores a growing trend in Los Cabos towards less-crowded and deeply personalised escapes.
St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira (opening late 2026/early 2027)
Set within the prestigious Quivira Los Cabos development, The St. Regis Los Cabos will comprise an exclusive 120-room luxury beachfront hotel and 60 residences, all positioned to maximise sweeping ocean views. Hotel guests can expect the brand’s renowned St. Regis Butler Service, three signature dining venues, multiple resort pools, a spa and direct beach access. Dining options will include a destination specialty restaurant, a beachfront grill with all-day dining and an al-fresco poolside venue serving small plates and crafted cocktails.
Grand Hyatt Los Cabos at Oleada (opening late 2026)
The Grand Hyatt Los Cabos is projected to open in late 2026 within the expansive Oleada development. Featuring 300 rooms, the resort will overlook the new Oleada Golf Links - a dramatic oceanfront course designed by four-time major champion Ernie Els - and will feature elevated resort amenities, multiple dining venues, family-friendly facilities and panoramic views across the Pacific ocean.
Universal Resort & Entertainment District, Cabo San Lucas (opening date to be announced)
Universal Studios is set to operate a new entertainment-focused resort within The Place at Cabo, a major development at Cabo San Lucas Marina. The purpose-built hotel will combine luxury hospitality with a live entertainment venue for up to 1,500 guests, hosting major productions, concerts and Universal-backed events. The resort will create an integrated hospitality and entertainment destination, further energising the Marina.
New Attractions & Experiences

The Place at Cabo (recently opened)
The Place at Cabo continues to evolve as one of Cabo San Lucas’ most exciting new lifestyle destinations at the Marina, bringing together restaurants, boutiques, galleries, public art and entertainment. There is also a lively calendar of community experiences ranging from language exchanges and dance classes to creative workshops and wellness rituals.
Sierra de la Laguna Adventure & Pottery Workshop with InCabo Travel VIVO Luxury Services
A new private luxury excursion takes travellers into the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve, combining an exploration of the reserve’s dramatic mountain scenery with a traditional pottery workshop led by local artisans. The experience offers an authentic introduction to Baja’s craftsmanship, communities and cultural heritage.
Luxury Pelican Boat Charters with InCabo Travel
A new luxury vessel expanding InCabo’s private yachting experiences, Pelican Boat Charters is described as a “beach club on the water”, taking guests along Baja’s spectacular coastline to landmarks including Lover’s Beach, The Arch and Pelican Rock. Private charters combine snorkelling among tropical fish with elevated onboard touches including a private chef, handcrafted cocktails, deck loungers and water toys.
Premium Can-Am UTV Tours with Wild Canyon Adventures
Adventure specialist Wild Canyon Adventures has introduced new premium Can-Am experiences across its 115-hectare private canyon between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Its new Signature BRP tours feature Can-Am Outlander ATVs and Maverick X3 UTVs, taking guests across desert, canyon and coastal terrain before crossing Mexico’s largest hanging bridge.
Interactive Exhibit at the Whale and Marine Sciences Museum
Perfect for families and marine enthusiasts, Museo del la Ballena has opened a brand new immersive museum experience featuring interactive ocean technology demonstrations and whale biology exhibits. Designed to educate visitors about whales and marine life, these interactive exhibits and multimedia installations offer an important way to learn the story about conservation.
Dining & Culinary Concepts
Located in the historic centre of San José del Cabo, San José del Criollo offers a contemporary exploration of Mexican cuisine led by Executive Chef Luis Arellano. Combining ingredients from Baja with techniques and flavours influenced by Oaxaca and wider Mexico, the result is an immersive dining experience that puts regional produce and Mexican culinary storytelling centre stage.
Set in downtown Cabo San Lucas, N16 offers relaxed contemporary dining centred on quality ingredients, bold flavours and sharing dishes. The creative menu spans sea and land, with highlights including leg of lamb gyoza and whole grilled shrimp, alongside pasta, charcoal-grilled vegetables and inventive desserts, complemented by Mexican and international wines, craft beer and spirits.
Perched above the Pacific, Amara Baja celebrates the Baja Peninsula through seasonal, ingredient-led cuisine from breakfast through dinner. Mornings bring corn hotcakes with piloncillo syrup, Amara chilaquiles and French toast with mascarpone and Mexican pot-coffee sauce, while evening dishes include giant shrimp with chintextle and pineapple and catch of the day with seaweed mole.
Beach Clubs & Bars
One of San José del Cabo’s newest beachfront venues, SanJo Beach Club offers an intimate, laid-back setting overlooking the Sea of Cortés. With just ten daybeds and an exclusive pool, the focus is on relaxed beach days rather than a party atmosphere. Chef César Pita’s menu celebrates Baja flavours with birria chilaquiles, tacos, sashimi and pizzas, while a programme of events ranges from Taco Tuesdays and beachfront movie nights to guest-chef takeovers and wellness mornings.
One of Los Cabos’ newest LGBTQ+ venues, Bar Ligaya brings an inclusive energy to San José del Cabo’s nightlife. Alongside signature cocktails, the bar hosts drag performances, tribute shows and guest DJ sets, with its 2026 Pride programme featuring queer DJs from across Mexico and a special performance from Mia Star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, adding to the destination’s increasingly diverse nightlife scene.
Located within the new LAIVA complex in San José del Cabo’s Historic Art District, Ceniza is a sophisticated cocktail bar bringing craft mixology to the neighbourhood’s creative scene. Cocktails inspired by local Baja ingredients make it a stylish spot for enjoying San José del Cabo after dark.
