Tourwriter launches a new reporting and business intelligence tool tailored for travel
Tourwriter, the software built for luxury tour designers, has launched a new reporting and business intelligence tool, giving operators a clear, accurate view of their own numbers at a time when margins are harder to call than they have been in years.
Demand is shifting fast, and a lot of operators can’t see their own numbers
Barclays reported that global travel spending fell 3.3% in March 2026, its first decline since COVID-era restrictions were lifted, driven largely by the Middle East conflict. Demand did not disappear, it simply moved, with flight bookings to Spain up 32% and to Portugal up 21% over the same period.
According to Arival's Profitable Operator research, 22% of tour operators cannot identify their own profit margins.
Put side by side, those two numbers are hard to ignore. Demand is shifting fast, and 22% of operators cannot see their own profit margin, the one number that would tell them whether they are keeping up. Tourwriter's new reporting and business intelligence tool is built to close that gap.
The new tool turns booking, margin, and conversion data already inside Tourwriter into reports operators can build themselves, without a developer or a single piece of software. Standard reports cover sales by consultant, bookings by status, margin by agent, quote-to-booking conversion, and incoming and outgoing payments, with a no-code builder for anything more specific.
Access is role-based, data refreshes daily in the operator's own time zone, and every report supports multiple currencies, a detail that matters for a business that rarely sells in just one.
“Margins are moving fast right now, with currency shifts and rising costs squeezing tour operators from every side. Those that have real time management reporting, have the ability to watch their numbers closely, react, control, and even profit from this volatility," said Glenn Campbell, CEO of Tourwriter.
