WTM Latin America launches “Protagonist Agent” campaign
The goal is to amplify the impact and prominence of travel agents in the event's strategy.
WTM Latin America takes another step toward acknowledging travel agents and launches the Protagonist Agent campaign, a structured and exclusive journey for industry professionals attending the event.
The initiative reinforces the role of travel agents as key players to the tourism chain and to the event—they connect products, services, destinations, and travelers, and increasingly need qualified content, relationships, and a supportive business environment.
As part of this strategy, WTM Latin America, in addition to keeping registration free for this category, the event has created a dedicated content track for these professionals: across the three theaters, every day, travel agents will find enriching sessions covering trends, commercial challenges, innovation, distribution, customer experience, and new ways to generate value in travel intermediation.
In addition to the content, the event creates an exclusive Lounge for Travel Agents, a space designed for productivity and networking—where professionals can work, network, and exchange experiences with their peers. The move signals a clear reading of the market: agents need structure, not just access.
Bianca Pizzolito, head of WTM Latin America also highlights that other initiatives focused on the agent's experience are still under development. "The first edition of the Campaign is not an isolated action, but part of an ongoing strategy to engage and recognize these professionals," she says.
In addition, we have enhanced agents’ access to the meeting tool, enabling them to schedule appointments with exhibitors and exchange contacts before, during, and after the event—an important advantage for those looking to optimize their time, expand their network, and turn their presence at the fair into concrete business opportunities.
WTM Latin America will be held between April 14 and 16, 2026, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.
