LOCATION
The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing's Chaoyang District, the central diplomatic and business area within the East Third Ring Road.
Whether it's a stroll through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City or the Temple of Heaven, a rich blend of history and modernity can be found just about anywhere.
Iconic Architecture
Standing in the front of the building, the architecture looks like a gate, which symbolizes the open-door policy of China, and resembles also the main gate of the Forbidden City. The shape and height of the building allude to the design of an ancient German castle as well as the watch tower of the Great Wall. The design concept represents a structure where two cultures collide.
From its inception, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center attracted many notable architects and designers to be a part of the historical project. One well known architect was I.M Pei. While one of his most iconic architectures is located in the heart of Europe, I.M Pei also brought his signature designs to the heart of Beijing. The Kempinski Beijing project he oversaw, is seen by thousands of visitors and guests everyday when they first arrive to the hotel.
A true oasis nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel's two private gardens are made of lush flower beds and green landscapes. Designed to resemble an imperial Chinese garden, both gardens are blessed with various botanical ensembles, multiple ponds, bridges, a waterfall and ample of space for outside private events and gatherings.
Classic European Service Modern Asian Hospitality
Since it opened in 1992, Kempinski Hotel Beijing has dedicated itself to pioneering the newest in excellent performances. Today, the hotel's re-launch signifies the evolution of a remarkable haven, allowing guests to travel in style.
Our two new Presidential Suites, each representing the hotel's dual identity, have been redesigned to befit the statuses of guests that find haven in them. The European Presidential Suite enjoys sandy, classical beige colours while warmer hues adorn the walls and furniture. The Oriental Presidential Suite offers art pieces, antique decorations, and colourful vases that add breathtaking brushstrokes of Asian identity.
Each of the four Diplomatic Suites represent a historical period in China. The Ming, Yuan, Qin and Tang Dynasty-inspired suites all display a unique decor and artwork reminiscent of the grandeur each historical period had to offer.
