Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center

The Hotel

In 1992, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center became the first European five-star international hotel in Beijing. Beyond its landmark status, it's a Kempinski jewel. The 2019 culmination of the hotel's massive 480-room renovation sets it as the rejuvenated hospitality epicenter of Beijing.

The hotel boasts timeless European style with rich Chinese cultural history. We are routinely selected as the trusted host to parties and events like the 2008 Olympic delegations, and to visiting APEC diplomats, heads of state, the 2017 Belt and Road delegations, and the 2018 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation delegations.

Europe's most established luxury hotel group

480 rooms and suites, including two Presidential Suites

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing's Chaoyang District, the central diplomatic and business area within the East Third Ring Road.

Whether it's a stroll through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City or the Temple of Heaven, a rich blend of history and modernity can be found just about anywhere.

Iconic Architecture

Standing in the front of the building, the architecture looks like a gate, which symbolizes the open-door policy of China, and resembles also the main gate of the Forbidden City. The shape and height of the building allude to the design of an ancient German castle as well as the watch tower of the Great Wall. The design concept represents a structure where two cultures collide.

From its inception, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center attracted many notable architects and designers to be a part of the historical project. One well known architect was I.M Pei. While one of his most iconic architectures is located in the heart of Europe, I.M Pei also brought his signature designs to the heart of Beijing. The Kempinski Beijing project he oversaw, is seen by thousands of visitors and guests everyday when they first arrive to the hotel.

A true oasis nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel's two private gardens are made of lush flower beds and green landscapes. Designed to resemble an imperial Chinese garden, both gardens are blessed with various botanical ensembles, multiple ponds, bridges, a waterfall and ample of space for outside private events and gatherings.

Classic European Service Modern Asian Hospitality

Since it opened in 1992, Kempinski Hotel Beijing has dedicated itself to pioneering the newest in excellent performances. Today, the hotel's re-launch signifies the evolution of a remarkable haven, allowing guests to travel in style.

Our two new Presidential Suites, each representing the hotel's dual identity, have been redesigned to befit the statuses of guests that find haven in them. The European Presidential Suite enjoys sandy, classical beige colours while warmer hues adorn the walls and furniture. The Oriental Presidential Suite offers art pieces, antique decorations, and colourful vases that add breathtaking brushstrokes of Asian identity.

Each of the four Diplomatic Suites represent a historical period in China. The Ming, Yuan, Qin and Tang Dynasty-inspired suites all display a unique decor and artwork reminiscent of the grandeur each historical period had to offer.

Signature Events and facilities

European elegance is part of the product, service and mission. Most importantly, the hotel strives to provide dazzling events and memories that will last a lifetime.

Signature events, include the Kempinski Vienna Ball Beijing, Oktoberfest at Paulaner Brauhaus, and four charity-based tree lighting ceremonies leading up to the Christmas holiday season.

The defining flavours of the world, all under one roof: with seven unique restaurants encompassing the hotel's rich and diverse culinary spectrum, its three signature outlets provide guests and travellers the perfect insight into Kempinski's culinary identity.

From secret recipes to sensuous combinations, Signature's Restaurant practices a free-rein take on the traditional food. Its mixed and matched culinary leaning comes from genuinely playing with and perfecting local dishes and applying them to international and classic ones.

In an effort to breathe new culinary life after the completion of the hotel's own renovation, the restaurant was designed as the chic and fun European venue.

Since 1992 Paulaner Brauhaus has earned its reputation as the number one destination in Beijing for superior German beers and delectable Bavarian cuisine. Above all, it's the legions of loyal local patrons and regular hotel guests who give this award-winning venue its uniquely sociable atmosphere. At the annual Maifest and Oktoberfest celebrations, the atmosphere is especially cheerful, attracting thousands of Beijing beer enthusiasts for live music, hearty food and fine beer.

Kempi Deli, Beijing's favorite European bakery, butchery and delicatessen, has attracted more than just loyal fans with its alluring scent of freshly baked bread, irresistible cakes and homemade sweets. The award-winning delicatessen also sets the standard for Beijing's dessert scene.
